Our absence the past few months was totally unplanned. In addition to Karl’s knee causing us to cut back on our hiking, we lost four friends in the space of two months, including a family member and a very close friend. Just as the funerals and memorials finished and we somewhat recovered from the shock our cat of 13 years and longtime traveling companion, Midnight, developed a cough. The vet found a mass on her lungs, and within a week she developed labored breathing and stopped eating and drinking so had to be put down.
Add the good news portion of two weddings, both out of town, one recently and the other coming up, and something had to give. Unfortunately our usual photography program for July at Brooker Creek Preserve will not happen this year, but we hope to make it up as things get back to normal.
We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, and keeping cool through the heat waves and heat domes. We should be back to work and regular posting by the end of August.
